Lacy was bred to Am/Can CH Coronado Espree Unbridled. 6 puppies arrived on 3/27/08, 4 girls, 2 boys who are affectionately known as "The Boat Litter".
Blue boy is Ranger; White boy is Tracker; Yellow girl is Legacy; Plain girl is Liberty; Lavender girl is Diva; Mint Green girl is Mariah
On day 3, I clipped the puppies' nails, as they are like little needles. I also started the Bio Sensor exercises, developed by the U.S. Military in their canine program. These exercises will continue through day 16 of the puppies' lives. Benefits of the Bio Sensor stimulation exercises are improved cardio vascular performance; stronger heart beats; stronger adrenal glands; more tolerance to stress; and greater resistance to disease. The puppies are weighed every day at the same time to make sure they are gaining weight. Day 5 puppies and mom were examined by Dr. Greer. Tails were docked and dewclaws removed. Seven days of age the puppies have doubled their birth weight. Today, 4/10/08, the puppies are two weeks old and their eyes are open. Two and 1/2 weeks of age and puppies are going potty on paper. Three and 1/2 weeks puppies had their first puppy weaning food soaked in goats milk.
The puppies are weaned and Lacy no longer does the work of cleaning up after them and feeding them. That means Dan and Bev have been very busy. At six weeks of age the pups are enjoying lots of time playing outside, running through the agility tunnel, shredding my hostas, etc. Personalities are becoming more distinct. The puppies have a very large enclosure in our kitchen in which they live. They are doing their business in a litter box with Pine pellets. They are very clean puppies. They are eating 4 times a day. I have introduced little pieces of meat fed from my hand. I use the meat to lure them into a sit and eye contact up at my face. They are so much fun AND a lot of work.

Lacy's Automobile Litter consisted of 4 boys and 4 girls. The boys were Hummer, Thunderbird, Cruiser, and Beamer. The girls were Bug, Mercedes, Porsche and Miata.

The puppies were whelped in our den and moved to our kitchen when they turned 4 weeks of age. The puppies were handled and socialized by many people. Before going to their new homes, they made several car trips, spent countless hours in our fenced back yard exploring and playing on my agility equipment which was lowered to the ground. One of their favorite places to play was in the tunnel.

By age 7 weeks the puppies were using the doggy door. When we let them out of their Xpen, 8 little black butts were seen going through the doggy door and to the outside potty area. When the weather was warm enough a children's swimming pool was added to their outside play area. The puppies delighted in walking through our large hosta bed, which was like a forest to them. It was hard to let them leave for their new homes at 9 weeks of age. One little puppy remained - Magicstar Jitterbug "Bug".
